Universal Studios and more for Uday's 29th Birthday!!

Uday celebrated his 29th birthday on Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Yikes!! I can't believe he is 4 years younger than me!! (Well, sometimes I can, but don't tell him that :)

Since Uday's birthday was on a week day we only had a short night to celebrate, so mom and I took him to Universal Studios in Orlando to celebrate and have fun for the day. Later that evening we were too tired to do "Horror Nights" at Universals so we went to a dinner show called Arabian Nights and watched the most majestic Arabian horses dance and run with their human partners dressed in gorgeous costumes on top of them. It was truly exquisite and we felt like royalty watching the show while having dinner. The next day we enjoyed playing at Wonder Works which is the famous upside down building in the Orlando area. It is like an interactive science museum/arcade. My mom especially enjoyed it!!

We did not get to see everything in Universal Studios since we ran out of time and plan to go back again some day and finish what we missed when we go and visit Island of Adventures in the future.

Below are links to the pictures of our experiences during Uday's birthday night and his birthday celebration in Orlando.

Also a special thanks to my mom's awesome neighbors, Charlie and Jerry and Cora for being our pet sitters and making this trip possible for us to go on as a family!!

Have fun enjoying the pictures!!

Fun in the Sun at Miami Seaquarium

This past weekend Uday and I decided to check out the Seaquarium in Miami. We invited my Mom and our friends, Kathy and Gary , who decided to join us. Uday and I thought it would be indoors in the air-conditioning but we were wrong. Everything was outside and it was very hot. I unfortunately did not dress appropriately for the occasion and was minding the heat. Despite the heat I enjoyed watching the beautiful sea animals and enjoyed having my Mom and friends to share this experience. Miami Seaquarium was small and does not compare to SeaWorld in Orlando but we especially enjoyed the Sea Lion show which was very cute and funny.

We also enjoyed the Killer Whale show...

I also loved watching the Sea Lions swim in the pools before and after their shows. Sea Lions just have the cutest faces!

It was also interesting watching the gentle Florida Manatees (also known as Sea Cow) and are most closely related to the Elephant family.

Before leaving Miami we also took a drive along Ocean Blvd in South Beach since Mom never saw South Beach in person. I told her that she had to see it in person since "CSI Miami" is her favorite show. We have a few pictures of the strip on South Beach included in the picture link below.

And click on the picture below to view the ones Gary took with his awesome camera (that we might go out and buy soon) . The picture on the top of this blog was also taken with Gary's camera:

The Finale - Our Enchanting European Vacation

Here are the last set of videos from our trip to Liege, Belgium and Maastricht, Holland. In Liege we met up with a friend named Charles who Uday first met while he was in graduate school in Louisiana. Charles is doing Ministry work in Liege and was a great tour guide, a hero to us, and fabulous company.

We continued our adventure with Charles in Maastricht, Holland and were on a quest to find the windmill. Enjoy the video where we desperately are in search of finding a windmill in Holland.
