Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, Boca Raton, Florida

A few weekends ago Uday and I met up with our friend Scott and went out to eat for Indian food and then took a ride to Boca Raton to visit the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. We had heard a lot about how great this place was to take pictures and we had high expectations...

We saw some interesting trees and spiders and their intricate webs...

We went up a lookout tower for a great view...

Loved the purple berries and other interesting plant life...

Got to see what the Gumbo Limbo tree looks like... (it is the picture below)

Enjoyed more Florida nature and gorgeous weather...

Took some pictures of nature that remind me of modern art...

Took more pictures of spiders... (yuk)

...and took some pictures of each other...

...and as we were coming out of the park we realized that we did not see much wild life as we had expected! We were disappointed but enjoyed our time together and outside!

We found out that we had just missed the inside exhibits were they had some sea creatures they were studying as they had just closed for the evening. More disappointed we took a few more pictures before leaving and were glad that this was a free park (with the exception of donations)!

We would like to go back to see the real turtles in the exhibits next time! Until then, hope you enjoyed our nature (without much wildlife pictures)!
