The Magic of Florida!

Last weekend Uday and I went to Orlando for the weekend for two nights. It just so happened that we had to go to another Time Share presentation in order to get a two night free stay at our motel. On the phone before we went we got a confirmation call and they assured Uday that we did not have to go to a presentation and that they just wanted us to have a good time at their motel for free. Even though Uday was upset that they lied (I was not surprised because I have learned that nothing is free for nothing), we ended up staying for two free nights and getting to go to three different Disney Theme Parks that we had already purchased tickets for (on January 1, 2008).

The first day we went to Typhoon Lagoon and the weather was hot. It was perfect for a water park. The next two days were chilly, about 65 to 68 degrees Farenheit, a little bit chilly for the theme parks without a sweatshirt and of course we did not think we would need a sweatshirt in Florida!!!. It also rained a little bit when we were at Hollywood Studios but overall everything worked out well with our timing.

While at the Parks it was amazing to witness so many people from all over the U.S and Europe (especially England) who came so far to go to Disney and we live just a few hours drive away! It is nice to be able to appreciate what you have while you have it and this is another reason why I love living in (West Palm Beach) Florida. Two and a half hours from Orlando, one and half hours from Miami and about three hours to the West Coast of Florida such as Tampa, Naples etc. and about 4 hours to Key West!

Uday and I have been watching the history channel often and they have been discussing 12/21/2012... 12/21 is my birthdate and it just so happens that the Mayans, Nostradamos, and another Asian Phophecy, all pin-pointed this date (12/21/2012) to be the end of the world as we know it...

Of course who knows if they are correct and all of the details and errors etc that may have occured in these phophecies (but what a coincidence for all three of these phophecies from different corners of the world to come up with the same month, day and year). So, just in case we figured that we better see as much as we can before something drastic happens, like Florida disappearing due to flooding. So many places to see and so little time!! My hope is that the world will actually change for the better if something happens but in the meantime we are doing as much exploring as we can.

On this visit, our favorite Park was Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, and of course we could not take too many pictures since we did not have a water proof camera. We also visited the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios (used to be known as MGM Studios).

For a "Goofy" time check out the links to our pictures and then come visit Florida too if you don't live here!! If you do live here explore what you can and appreciate all of the fun and beauty that Florida has to offer!
